Q. Do I need a visa to visit Thailand? A. For a stay of 30 days' or less a visa is given on arrival.
Q. Do I need injections to protect me from tropical illness? A. In the Pattaya area of Thailand injections are NOT necessary. However, the best advice we can give, is if you intend travelling in either the northern or southern areas of Thailand, you should consult with your local doctor at least 3 weeks before your holiday (vacation) departure date.
Q. Do the Thai people like or resent us? A. The Thai people are probably the nicest, the kindest, most considerate race of people on this planet. They like, even revere, us falangs. Falang is a term or description applied to non Asian people.
Q. What is the weather like? A. The weather here is warm to hot all the year round. Mid-October to end of February is the coolest period.
Q. Does it rain a lot? A. Most rainfall in the Pattaya area occurs in the hours of darkness, which of course means it doesn't usually affect golf or other tours too often. However, it would be fair to say that in a year no more than 20 golfing days are lost through bad weather. When it rains it is usually very heavy and lasts for an hour or so, lengthy spells of rain are rare.
Q. Where is it best to change money? A. Change money in Thailand, a much better rate of exchange is available here. Money changers are open at the airport 24 hrs, and in the rest of Thailand money changers are open from 10:00hrs to 22:00hrs. A.T.M. facilities are plentiful.
Q. Do you have quality evening shows? A. Yes we have excellent live entertainment, both Western and Thai.
Q. Can I extend my stay in Thailand? A. Yes normally a 10 day visa extension is granted on request at the local immigration office.
Q. What are the hospitals like, if I should need one? A. Very modern hospitals they are at least equal to there European counterpart, with competent English speaking doctors and nursing staff. Most hospitals also provide dental services. It is advisable to ensure you have adequate health insurance.
Q. Do I need evening dress? A. Formal evening wear is not required. However, smart casual attire would be suitable for evening occasions. Unless you are planning a business meeting do not bring evening suits or dresses, they are not necessary.
Q. What if I have a problem, can I contact you or a member of your staff? A. We provide a person to person answering service 24hrs a day. If it is necessary, you will be able to contact one of our senior managers, and speak to them in person.
Q. How safe is Pattaya, especially after dark? A. Pattaya is as safe anywhere in the world, crime rates are low and the streets are safe.
Q. What is the communication system like? A. The telephone system is reliable and IDD is standard. There are many Internet cafes and hotels often have business centres and increasingly provide a connection in guest rooms.
